The Professional Make-up Artists of Finland arranged Finnish Body Painting Championships (Body Paintingin SM-Kisat) at I love me event on 12.10.2013. The theme of the body painting competition was “renaissance of colours” (“värien renessanssi”). I took these photos during the painting, before the award ceremony, and during the award ceremony.

The winners of the competition were:

  1. Anette Paananen ja Tuula Ropponen 119p. (Vantaa)
  2. Stella Sironen 93p. (Oulu)
  3. Frolova Dina 86p. (Helsinki)

I have currently (1.-30.11.) exhibition in the window of Kaken Kehys in Lauttasaari, Helsinki. I have there 15 landscape photos from Helsinki. I have taken all photos during the last 12 months 🙂 All photos are for sale, and it is possible to buy photos also during the exhibition, so the photos may change during the exhibition. I have made a wall calendar with my Helsinki photos. The size of the calendar is 297 x 420 mm (closed 297 x 210 mm). I have taken all photos of the calendar in Helsinki, 12 of photos are taken during last 12 months and one photo is older. The photo locations are e.g. Lauttasaari, Kaivopuisto, Suomenlinna, Valkosaari and Töölönlahti. You can buy this calendar from Kaken Kehys in Lauttasaari (Helsinki), where I currently have Helsinki photo exhibition.

You can also order this calendar by sending email to me: kalenteri2014@maisemanlumo.fi. Please include your full address to the email. I will send you pdf invoice with BIC/SWIFT number for my bank and IBAN number for my bank account. You can pay the invoice without any extra costs in European Union. When I have received the payment, I will send you the calendar(s).

The price of the calendar (including VAT) is:

  • One calendar is 25 € (+ postage to Finland 4 €, postage to Europe 7 €)
  • 3 calendars are 65 € (+ postage to Finland 7 €, postage to Europe 10 €)

Fashion Unit arranged Muotipäivät in Helsinki on 13.9.2013. The Helsinki Trend View fashion show was arranged in Helsinki City Hall. Choreography of the fashion show was done by Birgitta Öunap, and models included Mira Salo, Karita Tykkä, Kalle Kuvaja, and Essi Pöysti.

Helsinki Fashion Weekend was arranged a week ago (29.8.-1.9.2013). Cosmopolitan Urban Day with Paparazzi‘s 30th anniversary fashion show was arranged on Thursday. Many well-know Finnish models participated Paparazzi show: e.g. Angelika Kallio, Vera Jordanova, Ninja Sarasalo, Janina Fry, Niina Backman (o.s. Herala), Pipsa Hurmerinta, Johanna Grönholm and Kim Herold. You can see my photos from this show in Paparazzi Show gallery.

On Saturday was Gloria High Fashion Day with Gloria‘s fashion show. The stars of this show were Suvi Koponen and Kirsi Pyrhönen. My photos from that show are visible in Gloria High Fashion Show gallery.

Helsinki Cathedral from Valkosaari / Link to Summer Views from Helsinki 2013 gallery

Summer is over, so it is time to post a new gallery of photos that I have photographed in Helsinki during summer 2013. During earlier summers I have been little bit lazy to photograph urban sunsets in Helsinki, so this year I decided to take my camera and tripod more often with me to Helsinki nights. I managed to photograph the sun setting exactly behind the Helsinki Cathedral, and the moon exactly behind the Suomenlinna Church 🙂 Unfortunately the moon was not full, but it is good to have some challenge also next summer… You can see some of these photos in my exhibitions during next months: in Art Forum Helsinki in October and in Kaken Kehys in November.

Viapori Trophy Race (Viaporin Tuoppi) is the biggest sailing competition for wooden sailing boats in the Nordic countries. There were more than twenty classes and around 200 boats in the race. Viapori Trophy Race was sailed around the Suomenlinna sea fortress and Pihlajasaari. I photographed this race from small motor boat. Currently this gallery contains 32 photos, but I will add more photos later.

These images are for sale, so if you want to buy some prints or digital files, please contact me! As these photos were photographed from a moving boat the available maximum print size varies (but typically the maximum available inkjet and acrylic print size will 30×40 … 50-70 cm, canvas prints can be larger).
